I'm going to Scotland!

Hi friends. Just wanted to let you know that I've been selected to go to Scotland at the end of this month for the Burnsong. Burnsong's objective is to promote, nurture and encourage songwriting in Scotland. During this year of Homecoming -- inspired by the 250th anniversary of the birth of Scotland's national poet -- I will be taking part in a week-long songwriters' retreat capped off by the "Big Gig" playing for MSPs at the Scottish Parliament. So if you know any MSPs, ask them to show up on November 30th. I've never done it, but I imagine playing to an empty House of Parliament would be a bit of a bummer...

Great to hear you've a few gigs over here. We're gonna try to get up for your set at Stereo in Glasgow on Jan 30th. We've not missed a visit since your first show in Manchester - upstairs in the Briton's Protection pub. Saw you last in Newcastle and before that in Edinburgh. We ain't been dissapointed yit!

I'm not sure if y'all were at Stereo, but if you were I'm so sorry that I didn't get to say hello to you! Thank you both so much for being the supporters of my music that you are. It means a lot to me. I've *GOT* to find a place in Manchester to play. I'm the one who is supposed to drive hours for a gig, not y'all!

Let me know if you have any suggestions for places to play in Manchester.

Sorry to be a bit late in responding, but I actually didn't perform anywhere on the 29th. We did rehearsal that day in Edinburgh. I've got Ullapool tonight, Inverness on Thursday, Edinburgh on Friday, a session in Edinburgh on Sunday and then East Lothian on Tuesday. Hope to see you somewhere along the line!

I'm afraid the schedule's pretty tight on this one. It's only about 2 weeks until I leave. The whole thing is through a 3rd-party arts organization, so I'm pretty tied to what they are bringing me over for and I have to be back home in NYC by the 1st of December. So it doesn't look likely this time. Sorry! Of course I'd love to come back to Belfast. I'll be back on that side of the ocean once my record comes out next year, so we'll make something work then.
